About me
I was born in 1974 in Italy.
I am self-taught and I come from a non-scholastic artistic path: my knowledge and skills were acquired with insights and intuitions developed by myself.
I attended specialization courses in watercolor, illustration, abstract drawing, collage, Japanese woodcut, artistic portrait, drawing of the human figure and ceramics.
In my paintings I look for beauty and the affinity of sensations with nature.
The evolution of my thinking led me to observe human beings, capturing their attitudes, fleeting moments full of emotions.
The desire is to reveal a reality that goes beyond the one immediately perceived.
In my career I started to use the figurative as a vehicle for the narration of a psychological condition with the desire to exalt and make public not only weaknesses but also problems and taboos.
Expositions
-from 1994 to today I have illustrated the covers of several novels in Italian;
-in April 2020 I exhibited online with the Fragile Express Gallery (Switzerland);
-in June 2020 I participated and won the abstract competition organized by The Artist's Circle Gallery in Dallas;
-in September 2020 I presented a solo online exhibition with The Artist's Circle Gallery in Dallas (under the pseudonym Melanie Bourbon);
-in September 2021 I will participate in the Fuori Salone Art And Design Show Milan;
- in August 2022 I will participate in the I Cortili dell'Arte event in Fratta di Tarzo (TV);
-in September 2022 I will participate in the Grolla d'Oro award organized in Treviso;
- in November 2022 I participated in the Cordignano National Prize for Painting, Graphics and Watercolor competition - in August 2023 I participated in the I Cortili dell'Arte event in Fratta di Tarzo (TV), winning the selection;
- in November 2023 I participated in the Cordignano National Prize for Painting, Graphics and Watercolor competition - obtaining the recommendation from the jury;
- in September 2023 I participated in the Grolla d'Oro award organized in Treviso and exhibited at the S. Caterina Museum;
- in August 2024 I took part in the I Cortili dell'Arte event in Fratta di Tarzo (TV);
